Na Pu‘ukani 2026 Concert Cruise
Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Betsey Stockton
The singers from the Windward Choral Society and Kona Choral Society will join together as Nā Puʻukani for a special inter-island concert tour aboard the Pride of America, sharing performances of Hawaiian choral music and selections from the ensembles’ February Gospel Heritage Concerts while honoring the life and legacy of Betsey Stockton.
“Our tour repertoire reflects both the beauty of Hawaiian choral traditions and the rich musical heritage of Gospel music,” said Nā Puʻukani’s Artistic Director Susan Duprey. “Betsey Stockton’s life reminds us of the power of faith, education, perseverance, and cultural connection. It feels especially meaningful to share this music across the islands where she briefly lived and served, making a profound impact during her short time in Hawai‘i.”
Nā Puʻukani will present concerts and community performances on Maui, Hawai‘i Island, Kauaʻi, and O‘ahu in collaboration with local choirs and host organizations, including appearances with the Maui Choral Arts Association and the Hilo Community Chorus.
