“From our island of ice (Mauna Kea) and fire (Kiluaea), it’s time for “Frozen” and Joy to the World! Bring keiki, kupuna and the whole ohana to our popular, much-anticipated free holiday concert on December 19th and December 20th at the Old Airport Pavilion, starting at 4 p.m.
The Kona Choral Society Adult Chorus together with the KCS Junior Chorus will lift up their voices in music of the season from all over the world. There will be conga drums, a Chanukah composition in Hebrew and English, a traditional carol from the Philippines, and much more. In addition to a rollicking choral suite from the hit Disney film “Frozen,” the Choruses will ring forth with traditional carols and popular tunes to which we hope you will add your joyous voices. And this concert, our gift to the Kona community, includes some glorious musical surprises and treats, such as the splendor of trumpet fanfares, to help celebrate this special holiday season on our special island!”
